Last night we were preparing for our child’s birthday party. Given its age, a CD player and an iPod were among the key items in the set up.
How to pump up an iPod enough to keep a small crowd dancing? Besides buying one of the many cradles-with-loudspeakers, that is?
Amazingly, a 3.5-to-6.3 jack adapter allows the iPod’s out to plug into an electric bass amp input, and impedence does match, and… 2 dollars’ cabling connect across three generations’ worth of electronic music.
The resulting role of the CD player is best left to imagination – every single dancer had more music in their pocket that the CD player could play in a year. And we did bring a dozen good CDs along!
